Seawoods Estate | Navi Mumbai

Seawoods Estate is a waterfront residential development located in Navi Mumbai. It is developed by CIDCO (the City and Industrial Development Corporation), a Government of Maharashtra enterprise. Octagonal pitched roofs with deep concrete awnings, overhanging balconies with subtle steel railings and criss-cross fenestrations characterise the external expression of the buildings.

The fundamental design idea was to make taller buildings, thereby leaving larger open spaces between the buildings. The layout of the apartment blocks which form U and C profiles, create internal courtyards that encourage community living. The development includes 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and 3 and 4-bedroom duplex penthouses. Approximately 1,750 dwelling units are accommodated in 46 blocks that rise on stilts up to 13 floors. They are linked together in groups of two, three and four buildings by podiums and terraced lawns.

The terrace at the 14th floor level is common and designed as an amenity deck. The central courtyard gardens separating the apartment blocks provide occupants with extensive views of the landscaped grounds. The design ensures that every flat looks out either to the sea or to the gardens. The landscaped grounds are dotted with water bodies, grass mounds and recreation grounds for the young and old. The development also includes convenience shops, a clubhouse with indoor and outdoor game zones.
