A series of inverted truncated software development blocks are spread over a small section of a grippingly breathtaking mountainous terrain of the 300-acre Infosys Ltd campus in Mangalore. The 7-storey blocks make use of minimal ground area thereby retaining a sense of openness, so that one can enjoy the stirring vistas. The curved roof with its massive overhangs is a response to the heavy rainfall in the region. These blocks have been arranged in clusters of two development centres catering to 4,500 professionals. Each cluster has a common food court and serves 1,500 people.
The undulating podium mimics the natural landscape while merging indistinctively with the knolly landscape. It houses the developmental centres above; food courts and parking below.
