Mayur Sondagar
B. Arch.
Mayur Sondagar has a passion for architecture rooted in his childhood. Inspired by his father, a carpenter who worked closely with architects, young Mayur was captivated by the architect's role as the captain of the ship; an admiration that relentlessly fueled his ambition.
Since joining Architect Hafeez Contractor in 2004, Sondagar has been inspired by the namesake founder's ability to envision a project's design with remarkable detail from the moment a client provides a brief. Striving to reach that level of expertise and vision, Sondagar brings a high degree of ambition to every project he undertakes. He has contributed to numerous iconic projects, including the domestic terminal of Indira Gandhi International Airport. Among his notable works is the ATS Greens project, remembered not only for its Spanish-style architecture but also for its meticulous detailing and planning.
Sondagar's versatility allows him to adapt to various architectural styles, exemplified by his transition from Spanish styling to the ultra-modern, multi-colored facade of Bharti Airtel's head office in Gurgaon. Despite his diverse portfolio, he is most passionate about affordable housing projects, particularly the CIDCO PMAY Housing project, which spans approximately 60 million square feet. Outside of architecture, Sondagar is an avid cricket enthusiast and participates as a batsman in AHC's in-house cricket league.
